She was the former president of the Akron Printmaking Enthusiasts (APE), where she had successfully written a group grants to get the Akron Printmaking Enthusiasts to the Frans Masareel Residency in Kasterlee, Belgium. Carly along with the other APE officers coordinated their trip Dallas, Texas for the SGC International annual printmaking conference, in which she began attending since 2017. She performs live-paintings during concerts in the Cleveland and Akron area to contribute to the overall experience. Along with this, she works with handmade paper and paper pulp in her paintings and prints. Carly works towards bettering the environment whether through her assistant farm manager job at the Crown Point Ecology Center or through her use of recycled materials in her prints and paintings. Inspired by community, she has participated in group murals for Akron Art Bomb Brigade, and the Northside Green Mural. She brings her positive attitude to everything she is involved in with hope that positive things will be reflected in her life and the lives around her.
